Membership

On or off the island, we can use your help! As an all-volunteer organization, we depend on memberships. Whether you are good at navigating around the island on a small boat or are more of a fundraiser and event team type, enjoy counting birds and turtles or think hefting oyster castles is more your style, or just want to be kept up with updates on what’s happening on the island, we are happy to have you join the Mordecai family.

We’ve added a perk for Mordecai members only: guided visits to the island. If you would like to learn more about our birds, terrapin garden, the geotubes, oystercastles, marsh sills, or the placement area up close, this is your opportunity. The island is off limits to the public, but members will be allowed to visit the island with one of Mordecai’s guides.
